As many of you know, Chuck Frazier has moved from Hunter’s Pointe, in NC, to my home club, Rocky Creek Sporting Clays ( http://www.rockycreeksportingclays.com/ ) , in SC. His annual signature event is The East Coast Championships, and it is scheduled on the same weekend as always during the middle of March( 3/17-18). Chuck, and the rest of the staff at Rocky Creek, are working hard to put on an AWESOME event.

As usual, there will be prelim’s( both Sporting and FITASC), 5stand, sub-gauge, side x side, pumpgun, MORE FITASC, and a 200 bird main sporting championship! This club has plenty of space( the shoot will be spread over about 400 acres) with great terrain. The club is right off the interstate between Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. Plenty of hotels in Rock Hill, SC.

I’ll be heading to the upper mid west the first half of August to give lessons and shoot the “America’s Top 40″ tournament. I will be helping Beretta with some corporate training at the “Scheels University” event 8/1-3 in Minnesota, then down to Northbrook Sports Club in Hainesville, Il ( outside Chicago) to give lessons 8/5-8. After that, back up to Mn for lessons at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club, outside the twin cities. I’ll be there 8/12-15.  Then back down to Northbrook for the “Top 40″ shoot, 8/18-21. After the shoot, I will be available at the club for lessons for a couple of days, depending on demand.

Looks like just over 600 entries in the main event, and all the big dogs are here! George Digweed, Richard Faulds, Jamie Brightman, and Ben Husthwaite are all here from across the pond, and EVERYBODY from the USA is here, trying to win the title. Should be a great event, and for a change, we are looking at good weather for the whole time! Results can be found at www.wyshotgun.com

I got a couple of days practice in with my old coach and shooting buddy, Dan Carlisle, at his new teaching grounds, 4- Oaks, just north of Houston. Look for some spectacular events coming up at this shooting destination! Great facility, designed by a great guy…….we will certainly be shooting( and teaching) there more often!

Brand new club, with a brand new course. The owner, Mr Gibbs, has big plans for this club including 5 separate courses, and 9 international bunker trap fields.

First day of the main event is behind me, and I’m doing OK with a 95. We’l see what today brings….the weatherman has announced a WIND ADVISORY for today, so hopefully my 11:30am start time will get me around the course before the worst of it!

Targets have been great…..good job by Ben Hustwaite!
